Claire and Jake first met while serving as interns at Mission City Church. After that summer, Claire’s crush began — but it would take Jake a little longer to realize what was happening.

By the next summer, Jake finally caught on and asked Claire out after seeing the Minions movie. What started as a simple date quickly became the beginning of something really special.

That fall was filled with dates, football games, and plenty of time spent getting to know each other better.

Ice skating became a sweet tradition — and maybe even a yearly one.

Lots of phone calls, weekend visits, and counting down the days until they could see each other again.

Internships in San Antonio, travel, sweet memories, and plenty of adventures together!

Through more football games, long drives, and many 90-mile trips to see each other, their relationship only grew stronger. They even managed to go to both an Aggie game and a Baylor game on the same day.
